Mobile phone use will be prohibited inside the premises of the famous Melmalayanur Angalamman Temple from September 1, according to a new decision concerning visitors to the temple.
The restriction is intended to improve the devotional atmosphere and help regulate visitor behaviour inside the temple premises. Devotees visiting the temple will be expected to follow the new rules once they come into effect.
