Christmas

Christmas is one of the major Christian festivals celebrated with devotion and joy across Viluppuram District. The celebration commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ and brings together families, churches and local communities. Churches are expected to conduct special Christmas Eve and Christmas Day prayers, Holy Mass, carol services, nativity programmes and cultural activities. Christmas trees, decorative lights, stars and other festive decorations are commonly arranged around churches and community spaces.
