A head constable from Vellimedupettai Police Station has brought recognition to Viluppuram District by winning third place in a karate competition at the All India Police Sports Championships.
The national-level police sports competition was held in Hyderabad, Telangana, from 21 to 30 July 2026. The Viluppuram police officer participated in the karate event and secured a medal through his performance. Following his achievement, the Viluppuram District Superintendent of Police presented him with a certificate and congratulated him for representing the district at the national level.
The achievement highlights the importance of physical fitness and sporting participation among police personnel while bringing recognition to Viluppuram at a national sporting event.
