A dispute over control of the AIADMK district office in Viluppuram was resolved after the Revenue Divisional Officer examined documents submitted by the competing factions. The disagreement had emerged following changes in the party’s district leadership after the Assembly election.
The RDO determined that the office was registered in the name of a trust administered by the AIADMK and ordered that the keys be handed over to the faction led by the newly appointed district secretary R. Pasupathi. Following the handover, party activities resumed at the office and supporters of the new district leadership began organisational work. The development marked an important step in settling the local organisational dispute.
