Gingee Police Station
The Gingee Police Station serves as the primary law enforcement authority for Gingee town and its surrounding rural and tribal jurisdiction in the Viluppuram district. Operating under the direct supervision of the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Gingee Subdivision and Viluppuram District Police Command, the station oversees public safety, law and order maintenance, crime prevention, and emergency response across the area.
Given Gingee’s prominence as a major historical tourist destination featuring the landmark Gingee Fort, the police station also manages heavy traffic flow along national and state highways, coordinate security during local temple festivals and public events, and manage tourist safety. The facility is equipped with 24/7 reception desks, lockup rooms, CCTNS (Crime and Criminal Tracking Network & Systems) digital tracking terminals, and patrol vehicle fleets.
